Just like my previous posts, its something you need to be patient with.
Dev's have not yet been chosen to my knowledge, I also believe it to be highly reliant on the MV systems being released as finals/newer versions.

As yet another fan of Firefly and gamer, I'm pretty excited about the prospect of an MMO. As early as it is in the game we're a long way off from even seeing the hints of release like screenshots or even concept art, but that's ok.
Nothing in the gaming world has generated this much excitement for me since the early stages of SWG. Luckily, we've already seen posts by MV about also being fans of the show, so I'm sure they'll do it justice.

| Wow, when I heard that a firefly MMO would be made, it blew my mind. Firefly is the most amazing fiction universe I have ever known, and the fact that I will be able to live it, so to speak, is a dream come true. I intend to stick around for every bit of the creation of this amazing opportunity and am so excited for it to happen. |

Welcome to the party, but don't expect rapid progress. Software in general, and apparently MMOs in particular, take a lot of time, effort, and money, and as far as we know, a dev team hasn't been identified yet. MV has the development rights for Firefly, but so far no development as taken place, to our knowlege.
Be that as it may, there are a lot of us who love to dream and yak about the possibilities, although things have slowed down around here quite a bit while we wait patiently (or not so patiently) for further news.

Howdy everyone! I'm a FF fan and I've been playing MMOs for years, my favorite MMO was the old Star Wars Galaxies before they changed it in 2005. I can't even explain how much I'm looking forward to this MMO coming out.  |

Ahh...I never saw the series...But I saw the movie serenity...I didn't realize the original series was called firefly...
Heh thats probably why it failed...no one would think that it was based on what it was based on with a name like firefly...
But....The movie was great...

Not quite sure what you mean, the series failed because it was called Firefly and no-one would have any idea it was a Cowboys in Space adventure series? I think Joss probably wanted to move away from such descriptive titles as "Buffy the Vampire Slayer". If "Firefly" had been in the same guise as "Prison Break", "Lost", "CSI", what would it have been called?
I don't think "Cowboys in Space" has that kind of ring to it.
The more I think about it, though, the more I see what you mean.

Other stupid person reading TV guide listings: "Some stupid nature documentary about bugs...ooooh, 'World's Wildest Cop Shootouts'!!!!!!"

Admittedly, I never even saw a single episode until after the movie. Then I was telling my buddy about this really cool movie "Serenity" and how great it was when he said, "You mean the Firefly movie? Yeah I didn't think it was as good as the series."

Man If I knew it was on I would have watched it.
And that's why it's canceled.
Firefly is the perfect series for me. I love the old west. And I've been a fan of space from when I was a kid. Heck I have perfect garb for Firefly conventions from my wedding day(married wearing 1860's period duds). |

I think if anything had happened, it would have been posted here. I fruitlessly check the forums far too often to no avail  .
MMO's usually have a massive development time anyway. Admittedly using the Multiverse engine means a lot of the code is already in place, but still, I'd like to see a well polished game at the end. It could take years... |
