Download an Asset Repository

Before you can use the Multiverse tools to create your own gameworld, you must download an asset repository:

  • Sampleworld Asset Repository Most developers should download this asset repository. It contains all the assets that the Multiverse Client and the Multiverse tools require. Additionally, it includes all the free assets that Multiverse provides, including the assets required by the Sampleworld example provided with the Multiverse servers.
  • World Editor Asset Repository contains only the assets that the Multiverse tools require: markers, terrain elements, and shaders, but no buildings, characters, trees, or props. You might want this asset repository if you're building a world for distribution, and need to have only the assets required by the tools in your asset repository prior to adding your own assets. The Multiverse Client will not run properly with this asset repository alone. You need to at least add UI files and other scripts.
  • Fantasy World Asset Repository contains the assets required by the Multiverse Demo Fantasy World. This world contains examples of more complex gameplay elements such as combat, quests, teleporting, and so on.
