Excalibur Productions

From Multiverse

Jump to: navigation, search

Excalibur Productions was established in 2002 by me, XCalPro, as a modelling and art studio. I have been using 3D Max since version 3.1 to create various Sci-Fi models which were converted and distributed to the Poser community. I have worked on some game mods in the past. The most recent being a module for NeverWinter Nights called "Anew". This module is currently available from NWVault/IGN.

In 2004, Excalibur Productions, started working on a design document for a MMORPG called Galaxy Traders. I have been working alone on and off on this concept since then. It is an ambitious project. One that would involve many talented people to complete. Due to lack of support and the fact that Multiverse is developing Firefly MMORPG which is very similar to the type of game Galaxy Traders would have been, this project is shelved indefinately.

With the release of Multiverse v1.0, I have resumed working on a new project. Excalibur Productions is currently looking for new team members to help design and build this new project. I am always looking for additional help. Anyone with any kind of art or programming skill is welcome.

At this stage the project is purely a hobby endeavor while I continue to learn more about the Multiverse engine and tools.

Final Frontier

Final Frontier is an RPG Virtual Simulation currently being developed by Excalibur Productions (XcalPro). This is purely a non-commercial educational/hobby project. The simulation is a Sci-Fi virtual environment based on Star Trek The Original Series (TOS). Players will take the role of a starship crewman and travel aboard the USS Hornet to explore different worlds and interact with other crewmen to perform missions. Strong emphasis will be placed on RPGing and teamwork. Since the compliment of a starship is about 450 crewmen, the game will be designed to host only 450 players. Each player will have a role aboard the ship and perform functions based on their duty assignments.
