Forgotten Legends by Doomsberg Entertainment.
Forgotten Legends is being created with the intent of bringing back the story and emotion to the MMORPG genre. With many cut scenes and a very indepth story line, players will be fully immersed in the world of Pagon. At the same time, Forgotten Legends will boast a fast-paced, user interactive battle style that will allow much variation in play style.
To compliment the unique battle system, a continent of the world (of which there are 3 continents) will be devoted to the sole cause of a PvP battleground. This battleground will take players to a level of battle they never imagined in an MMORPG.
Furthermore, Forgotten Legends is a world that changes. Individuals, and groups will have a great influence on the events that take place. In fact, certain players will be responsible for the release of great monsters and threats into the world, while there will be those who will work to keep the world a safer place.
One of the major aspects we also plan to bring to the table is the freedom of choice. Forgotten Legends will allow players the ability to do so much more than what many games today offer. Some of these include, but are not limited to, being able to become a traitor and joining the enemy faction and working hand in hand with the forces of evil.
Features
- Cut scenes to develop the story and bring more emotion into the game.
- Fast paced, user driven battle style that is simple, yet grants the player much freedom for extension.
- Huge battleground with fortresses that can be destroyed or taken over.
- Many different quest styles with the inclusion of missions that will require more skill and usually be time based.
- Class missions that reward gold/silver/bronze medals so people can see your skills at a particular task.
- A changing world, that players can influence.
- A real story line that players will be able to interact with.
- Player freedom that allows them to cross boundaries that exist in other games.
- Six playable races spread over two enemy factions. The races break the typical MMORPG mold of elves, dwarves, orcs etc. to create a unique world that seperates itself from other MMORPG's.
- Advanced group search system to minimise group formation time.
- Extensive support for guilds to help with guild management.
- Player rating system, resulting in players being able to form groups with friendly helpful people.
- And many other features that are the norm in every game out these days.
Here is The Story behind Forgotten Legends. This is the second revision and changes will be made in the future, but the base of the story will always remain. Please note this a very small part of the story that is Forgotten Legends. This is just a little taste, so people have an idea of what to expect. The majority of the story will be in the game waiting for the player to discover it for themselves.
Questions & Answers
If you would like to ask a question about Forgotten Legends, pelase feel free to edit the page and write the question in this section. I will try to reply with an answer as soon as I can. (I'm not sure if this idea will take off).
Q. What races will there be to choose?
A: The six races are split into 2 factions, which are The Pagos (who think they are the defenders of Pagon) and The New Order.
The Pagos:
Humans (medieval style with a modern touch).
Shiokin (Samurai style Japanese).
Kulumi (a mixed race of Humans and the original inhabitants of Pagon). - More info will be released later on this race.
The New Order:
Mutine (The Humans who were mutated in the event that happened 12 years ago. Brute-style).
Magi (Magic following Humans). - More info will be released later on this race.
Noctin (Aliens who came from the Planet Noctus).
Q. Will the races have individual unique abilities?
A: Yes, each race will be substantially different from the rest. First off, each race will have a unique class. These classes will be more specialist in one type of combat over the normal classes. Apart from the unique classes there will be a few unique active and passive abilities. For Example:
Shiokin players will have a boost to attack speed (passive).
Magi players will be able to drain energy off enemies (active)
The abilties and unique classes will be based off the physical nature of the races along with their history. They will help define each races place in the world and will result in players having a different play style for each race.
Q. What classes will there be to choose?
A: There will be six normal classes, and six unique classes (one for each race).
Normal classes:
Warrior - Melee fighter, specialises in taking damage and dealing melee damage.
Survivalist (name going to change) - Healer class with high survival.
Marksman - Ranged fighter, specialises in dealing ranged damage.
Evoker - Supporter class who uses spells, specialises in healing, and buffing/debuffing.
Rogue - Melee fighter who is a master at avoiding taking damage.
Destroyer - Offensive spell caster, specialises in a vareity of high damage spells.
Unique Classes:
Humans - Champion - Melee fighter with support abilities.
Shiokin - Samurai - Melee fighter who specialises in burst damage.
Kulumi - Tracker - Ranged fighter who can tame pets and merge with them to utilise their powers.
Mutine - Avenger - Melee fighter who deals slow but solid damage.
Magi - Battle Mage - Melee fighter who excels in offensive spells.
Noctin - Summoner - Spell caster who can summon pets to battle.
The class information here is very brief, and fails to cover much about each class. At a later date I will provide more information.
Q. Will we be able to have multi-class characters?
A: Yes and No. Players start out as one class (which they choose) and after a certain amount of time playing they will be able to change class. Each class has it's own level progression which players level up seperate from their combat level. As such a player could have a combat level of 35 whilst having a warrior level of 15 and a priest level of 20. Players can only be 1 class at a time and players will have to pay some form of fee (or something) when they wish to change classes.
Q. Is there a limit to the number of classes a character can work on?
A: No. Players can level up every single class to the maximum level, although as stated above they can only level one at a time.
