Problems installing the tools
The most common cause of installation problems is not uninstalling a previous tools installation. You MUST uninstall existing Multiverse tools before reinstalling.
Problems running the tools
Hardware requirements
The Multiverse tools use the same rendering engine as the Multiverse Client. So, the platform requirements are the same; see Installing and Running the Client. If you cannot run the Client, then you cannot run the tools.
Version mis-match
You MUST use the same version of the tools as that of the server platform.
Log file
Each of the Multiverse tools creates a log file named trace.txt in the directory containing its exectuable. For example, by default the World Editor's log file is is C:\Program Files\Multiverse Tools\Multiverse World Editor\trace.txt.
Configure Tools logging similarly to Client logging. See Client Logging for more information.
The main difference is that there is no default logging configuration file (DefaultLogConfig.xml). To create a custom logging configuration for a tool, create a LogConfig.xml file in the tool's executable directory.
